Annual maintenance is a key to keeping flooring such as terrazzo or marble tiles looking new and clean. Our annual maintenance plan involves an in depth deep clean of your tiles, minor grout repair and replacement, and a penetrating sealer and burnish to tighten the pores on your floor. This is done so that spills and dirt are not able to get down into your marble or terrazzo tiles and cause stains and damage. Our process is also able to remove minor scratch in scuff marks in your higher traffic areas. This annual maintenance is designed to keep your floor looking great and protect it from some of the abuse that a floor is going to take.
A restoration process must be set up when there has been significant damage to your limestone travertine marble or terrazzo floor. Polished Concrete Little Rock takes an approach similar to what we do for concrete polishing. In restoration we are trying to remove deep scratches and scuff marks period to do this requires us to use tooling that has diamond polishing discs on our floor machine. This is why a restoration is often much more expensive than an annual maintenance visit. Once we have your floor re stored and protected, annual maintenance is a small investment that will keep your floor looking great for years.

To fix this we used diamond polished tooling to gently remove small amounts of the unbalanced tile so that it is level with adjacent tiles. Another common repair we make is to fill cavities holes and chips in your travertine tile floors. Travertine is extremely porous and has small holes in cavities throughout the surface. In the manufacturing process these holes are filled but can pop out as foot traffic and heavier items roll across the tiles. It is critical to keep these cavities filled to keep contaminants from getting down in your tile which will stain and or damage your flooring. We often see this in travertine showers which have become much more popular recently. Honed versus Polished Finish
One item we have not talked about is the type of finish for your natural stone surface. Basically, there are 2 finish options available. A honed option which is more of a matte type or less shiny finish on your floor. This does not look as impressive as a polished finish but is much easier to maintain as it hides dirt in small flaws in your floor. Many people want a polished finish. This is a glossy finish that looks extremely impressive! In high traffic areas this can be hard to maintain, however.
