There's some things that Polish in the concrete can improve the appearance of. And there's other things that really add a rustic look to the floor and you have to be okay with that's how you want your floor to look because there's no changing. Some things like expansion joints in the floor. We have to honor those and we just can fill those, but we have to honor those. And can't like, use a filler over the top to make it look like one big slab.
Ryan:
We recently polished the concrete floor and literally that had where they set the stain cans when they stand stained all the cabinets 20 years ago. And there was brown stains in the concrete that have penetrated a little too far. So when we polished the concrete, those things were still there. They were evident that they're still on the floor and he could not hide them.
Bob:
Yep. So those are the kinds of things that you have to look at into a lot of people. Actually, we hear from a lot of customers that that adds character to the floor. They love it. And, and they just don't want anything else, but that, because they also know that even though there are those small imperfections in the appearance of the floor for one, they may be putting something over the top of it. Anyhow. but for two, they know that a polished concrete floor is going to give them a very durable and long lasting surface. That's very easy to maintain versus like say a, a rolled, a poxy, or even a stained enrolled seal epoxy floor, which we've seen many of those fail over the years, they scuff
Ryan:
Up. They appeal that he laminate they're not easy to clean. Well,
Bob:
A lot of people's favorite thing on those kinds of floors and VCT of course, is to continue to add layers of wax onto that flooring. And all that's doing is moving the dirt and debris, and God knows what else is on that floor and around an embedding it to it.
Ryan:
And then adding years and years of added expense over and over and over were polished concrete. You don't have all the added expense of reapplying, a wax or a sealer every year,
Bob:
Especially in a residential setting, unless you're just incredibly hard on your floors. Once we do Polish concrete floors in a residential home, they should last a lifetime in there with maybe ever so often occasional maintenance on our part where maybe some salt water or something strange has gotten on the floor and caused the stain. And even in a commercial setting, I wouldn't say that it's maintenance free because you do need to do regular maintenance. When you have heavy foot traffic, all you need to do is look at a Walmart or a target to see what heavy traffic can do to even the most durable of Florida, just don't go down the pickle aisle at Walmart acid. Well, polished concrete floor properly done can like buy you time to clean up something like a Coke spill or the pickles juice spill. It's not completely impervious to it. So you do see stains in some of these floors like that. The good news is though we also have an ability to repair those.

We can run another set of if you have bad eggs, like in the Walmarts where that I said the pickle juice aisle, that's actually why Walmart got away from the cotta color floors and went to the gray. So those etching marks weren't as noticeable. So they could go in between services more, but in a residential setting, if you do spill wine or juice or lemon juice, and you don't see it pet urine, you don't see it right away. And it sits overnight. We can't come in and run one set of diamonds and burnish that area like it never happened.

Yeah. Bang for your buck, polished concrete floors Little Rock are the best deal that you have either in your home or commercial setting, because the installation costs is at or below many of the comparable type coatings, such as a, a ceramic tile or a, the Callie luxury VCT, which is kind of your fake plastic wood tiles.
